ScoreNite Privacy Policy

ScoreNite is the new name of PlayScore. This policy covers the app under both names.

Last updated: September 6, 2026

What stays on your device

Everything you create in ScoreNite — players, games, rounds, results, saved setups, stats, trophies — is stored locally on your phone. It leaves your device only if you export or share it yourself (for example, a share image you send to your group chat). Deleting the app deletes this data.

What leaves your device

ScoreNite uses a small number of third-party services. Each receives only the technical minimum it needs:

Google AdMob (free version only) — serves the banner and occasional interstitial ads. AdMob receives standard request data such as your IP address, device model and ad interaction events (which ads were shown or tapped) for ad serving, frequency capping and fraud prevention. On iOS, ScoreNite does not request App Tracking Transparency permission, which means no cross-app advertising identifier is available and ads are not personalized based on tracking. Removing ads with ScoreNite Pro stops ad requests entirely. See Google's privacy policy.

Firebase Analytics — anonymous usage events (for example "a game was finished" or "a screen was opened") that help us understand which features matter and improve the app. These events are not linked to your identity — there is no identity to link them to.

Firebase Crashlytics — if the app crashes, a crash report (device model, OS version, stack trace) is sent so we can fix the bug.

Firebase Remote Config — fetches app configuration values (such as feature switches). It sends no personal data.

RevenueCat — validates purchases and remembers that your device owns Pro, using a random install identifier so your purchase survives reinstalls via the store's restore mechanism. RevenueCat receives the store receipt, never your name, email or payment details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

No tracking

We do not link the data above with third-party data for advertising purposes, we do not share data with data brokers, and we do not track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. This is why ScoreNite never shows the iOS "Allow tracking?" prompt — there is nothing to ask permission for.

Purchases

ScoreNite Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment, billing details and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies.

Data retention and deletion

Your game data lives only on your device: delete the app (or the data within it) and it is gone. Analytics and crash data held by the services above are retained under their policies and are not tied to your identity. For any privacy question or request, contact us at the address below.

Children

ScoreNite is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; there is no mechanism in the app to submit personal information in the first place.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices change (for example, if a future version adds optional online features), this page will be updated before those features ship, with a new "last updated" date.
